Antique Bone China Query About Coalport Demitasse Cups:- I have 2 numbered antique Coalport demitasse cups and saucers and am trying to determine age, value, etc. One is red with gold interior and the other is green with gold interior. Both have a crown emblem and England on the bottom.

Hello Pam

Thanks for your inquiry about your antique Coalport demitasse cups & saucers. I love when they are easy like this. I love it even more if contributors upload photos of their wares. We want to see all this wonderful fine china! (To find out how, see below...).

If your demitasse cups have the pottery mark "England" they most likely date anywhere from c.1900 to 1920 (possibly slightly before - earliest possible is 1881). If they have "made in England" they are after 1920.

If the COALPORT MADE IN ENGLAND pottery mark backstamp is in a straight line (rather than a curve) this denotes the revised standard mark post 1960+.

So now you know all that, you are definitely wondering what they are worth. For a shortcut to a valuations specialist, try my 'Bring In The Experts' page to contact a professional appraiser (you don't have to pay any money upfront to use this unique service, as it's one I've designed especially to protect my visitors from wasting time and money online).

For the DIY valuation approach, try my China Replacement page.

Once there, scroll down to the link which says:

"click on this specially coded "replacement china" link which will open a new page in a new window"

Once at the new page put in the following words exactly:

"Coalport demitasse cups saucers"

DO NOT change the words or add more.

Then check the "Include title and description" box, then press search. You will then get a range of different priced demitasse cups and saucers (make sure to SCROLL DOWN to the international sellers too). As far as I could see at the time of writing these wares ranged from around $70 to $200 USD, depending on the type of cup and pattern etc.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Thanks.
