Antique China and Fine China Query - FRANCISCAN ROSE DISH SET:- HOW CAN WE TELL IF THE FRANCISCAN ROSE DISH SET WE INHERITED IS ORIGINAL FROM THE 1940'S OR REPLACEMENTS. WE HAVE A BUNCH OF DISHES (WHATS LEFT OF A 12 PLACE SETTING PLUS SERVING ITEMS ETC) AND ACCORDING TO OUR DAD, HE WAS 89 WHEN HE DIED IN THIS JANUARY, THAT THESE DISHES ARE MOSTLY THE ORIGINAL ONES THEY PURCHASED IN THE 1940'S.

I suggest you visit the Franciscan collectors club (see the link from my page on Franciscan). I believe you can tell if you know what to look for (which I don't).

GO to the search engine at the top right of this page to find my page on Franciscan china and the link to the collectors club.

Sounds like a fabulous collection.
