Antique & Fine China Query - Crown above a W over a C:- These were my Grandparents- I think about the early 1900's.

This is a Tea Set - Blue and white design on very fluted china - with gold edges. The design is flowers and leaves entwined.

The shape is square-ish, so the tea cups have four corners, and you drink from one of them.

I would really like to trace them - and if of any value- maybe sell what remains of the set

Many thanks for submitting, and hope you are finding the site useful. Your set is Wileman & Co, one of the most important of all UK Staffordshire makers. They made Shelley ware - now very highly collectible and expensive.

You should have been able to find the identification by using the in-house search boxes located at the top of most main pages (the one on the homepage is the most popular).

Use this facility to find the various articles written about Wileman/Shelly on this site.

In terms of price, it is Shelley collectors are interested in. You would have to ask an expert to see how this translates to Wileman.

Your pattern and shape are very nice and resemble one of the most sought after of Shelley pattern called "Dainty Blue".

I would say your pattern might have some worth, but that's not for me to say. You should do a bit more of your own research or get a well regarded expert.
