Tea set - B D Impressed Pottery Mark on teapot:- My Great-Aunt Mary's teaset has been handed down through 4 generations, and I would like to know more about it. It has a wild rose pattern, and the teapot is quite large. There is another smaller pot that my mother calls a "slosh-pot" where you poured your left-over tea fron your cup if it has cooled too much to drink. There are 2 serving plates with cut-out handles, several dessert-size plates, cups and saucers, and some smaller bowl shaped saucers or tiny bowls--not sure of they're purpose. The only mark is on the bottom of the teapot and the slosh-pot. It is an imprinted B and D and a small vertical line with a small circle next to it--the circle may be connected to the line by two small lines, but it is hard to see with the bare eye. I doubt if it has much value because it is not a complete set. Pieces must have gotten broken over the years, and there are some chips. I chipped the spout of the pot myself not long ago. It is a set that has been well-used over the generations. I am curious about it's approximate age and maker. I should add that Great-Aunt Mary was born in the late 1830's or early 1840's and lived in Waterbury, Connecticut. Her mother emigrated from Scotland about 1835. That is about all I know about the teaset.
I would appreciate anything you could tell me about it.

Hello Nancy
Quite a story - quite and heirloom. I can't find any such mark in my books. Have no clue who the maker could be.....
Anybody?
