Let me quickly explain the idea and how it works

The idea is to give site visitors a way to flag up what they want to collect and also what they want to sell on.

Everyone gets unlimited free listings for WANTED items and can have one free SELLING listing at any time. You can buy extra selling listings.

There is also one free photo image allowed for each listing (there is a special Photo-merge service if you have multiple items to list).


You then use the 'comment' forums to talk with each other and seal the deal.

NOTE:- For security reasons, I pass on email details privately with mutual permission rather than email details becoming public (spam bots are a scurge).

How It Works - Quick Summary:-

  • Listings are FREE for 'wanted' (unlimited number).

  • ONE FREE SELLING LISTING PER PERSON at any one time allowed. More than one item, you need the Multiple 'Pro' Listing service (see below).

    • Good News!

  • There is one free photo image allowed with each free listing. Extra photos are allowed but must be merged into one image. If you don't know how we have a special Photo-merge service.

    TIP:- The smart & savvy can amalgamate several photos into one JPEG image to show several pictures on their listing with one upload. Don't know how? get your own photos amalgamated here

  • Only china, pottery or porcelain items allowed (obviously!)


  • Multiple 'Pro' Listings have a

    • One-off fee $9.97 USD (around £5.97 GBP-UK) - no recurring charges

    • Can list up to 10 items in a single listing

    • Can link out to another website

    TIP:- smart sellers such as dealers & antiquers may want to post a new add from time to time because as time goes on, the ad listing moves down the list and therefore becomes less visible.

    DETAILS

    Use the Multiple 'Pro' Listing if you have multiple items to sell that aren't from the same set (details on the multiple listings option - below).

    Your single free SELLING listing can cover as many items as you like as long as they are the same pattern or set (e.g. you can happily list a complete dinner set of Spode 'Chinese Rose', but Spode items with a different pattern need to go onto a Multiple 'Pro' Listing OR wait for your next free listing once the Chinese Rose listing has ended.

    Obviously, you can put your contact details on the free listing, but if you want to link out to another website or auction, you need to be using 'Pro'.

    Once your current free SELLING listing is sold, you list your next thing for free.....and so on.

    The 'WANTED' listing however, can list anything you want to buy or are interested in collecting - no limit (as long as its china, pottery or porcelain).

    There is no problem referring to your 'selling listing' on your 'wanted listing' and even placing a link. That's why it's such a great buy sell porcelain, pottery & tableware opportunity.

    "Multiple 'Pro' Listing".....

    ....allows you to have multiple items listed, but there's a small fee for the convenience.

    • List up to 10 items or sets at once.

    • There is a one-off fee $9.97 USD (around £5.97 GBP-UK) - no recurring charges.

    • With 'Pro' you can link out to another site or auction. You can't do this within the free service

    • Prominent site search facility to enable collectors to find your listing

    'Pro' has been brought in to allow dealers and antiquers a way to get into the action without hogging all the free bandwidth.

    You can purchase as many 'pro listings' as you like and update them whenever you like.

    I reserve the right to remove dormant listings.

    Page Rank

    'Pro' listings share the same page as 'FREE' sales listings.

    Remember, listings gradually move down the page as new submissions are uploaded (new go to the top). 'Pro' listers may want to refresh with a new listing now and again to raise their visibility profile higher up the page.

    There is a starring system built-in into the forum which could also raise (or lower) page rank. However, you can't star your own listings ....or sabotage someone else! Abuse of this system will result in ejection of a listing and possible banning.

    There is a prominent site search facility which enables people looking for 'Spode Chinese Rose Tableware' or 'Royal Doulton Figurines' or 'Peter Holland's Coalport Roaring Twenties' etc to immediately find your listing.
