Mark - China Ming Plate - unique star constellation symbology
China Ming Plate - unique star constellation symbology:- The plate in question i have had for a few years i bought it in Indonesia i have had several antique dealers look at it but they will not give me a true answer on its value or translation
the plate has a three pronged mark appearing three times - this mark is for kiln firing
the script on the back is in normal caricatures appears to be 9 character so far i can only explain parts
women
prince or little king
birth 0r birthday Or new beginning
on the face of the plate above and to the right of the women's head is a star constellation leo or leo's sickle a crescent moon in the centre of sickle it also has 4 stars to the right and a single star to the left of sickle this to me is signifies a meaning or event or space in time
it is an exceptional polychrome plate multi colored extreme very fine cracking on base creme glazing over glazing is very good also with a clear over glaze diameter is 238 millimetre and its weight is 515 grams.
