Japanese Seal Mark from Japan - from the 'Asuka' Kiln

Plate decoration is Japanese. The seal mark shown above "Japan" shows two characters for Asuka, the left character means "kiln".

Note: Asuka was the Japanese capital before it was moved north to the area of today's Nara city. Whether the kiln is located in that area is unknown, but the name of "Asuka" is generally popular.

Age of plate unknown, but judging from the mark style it probably is more recent.)
