Faint C C Pottery Mark Under Crown on Latticed Fruit Bowl
Faint C C Pottery Mark Under Crown on Latticed Fruit Bowl
Faint C C Pottery Mark Under Crown on Latticed Fruit Bowl:- Found this lovely piece at a recent estate sale. I have tried to find the identity of the backstamp in my numerous porcelain books and have come up blank. Even tried holding the mark different ways, backwards upside down etc. and zippo.
Peter can you possibly identify this mark or maybe a reader can. I see a blue crown and letters CC with a line under them. It is an over the glaze mark. Thank you,
Wendy Dworken

Hi Wendy
The mark is that of Ludwigsburg - very famous early maker and, if genuine, very valuable.
We already have lots of information on Ludwigsburg on this site. To find it, all you need to do is put Ludwigsburg or Kronenburg or Wurtemburg into one of the
search boxes at the top of any main page):-
For example:- There is an article here:
Scroll down to the 'Ludwigsburg' listing under "L".
