Hi Lil

You have quite a pricey vintage piece on your hands. Freda Doughty's work fetches a pretty penny nowadays.

I have seen two versions of Worcester's Friday's Child, one seated in yellow, and one standing (shown).

You will have to tell us which one it is, please.

I have seen both going for up to £200 (GBP UK). Some are much cheaper, but they are damaged.

As you said you are having a clear out, I have moved this listing to the free 'selling' section. You can add others in the 'Days of the Week' series for free.

However, if you want to add other mixed items, you need the Multiple 'Pro' Listing service for which there is a small admin fee.

People will contact you via the comments link below. Unfortunately, you didn't give me your email number, so you should let me know it (privately - don;t publish it otherwise you may start to get lots of unsolicited emails from spammers).

Regards

FURTHER TO PETERS COMMENT. THE STANDING UP VERSION IS A BOY AND THE SITTING FIGURINE IS FRIDAY'S CHILD-GIRL IN HER YELLOW DUNGAREES. I THINK £200 IS A BIT HIGH IN CURRENT CLIMATE.PHIL

i bought a Friday's child, as shown, a few months ago at an auction. It is in perfect condition and cost me £55 so £200 is very overpriced. The value is linked to the stamp on the base and the date the model was made as well as condition. Some models are more prone to damage as have small parts such as the Thursday boy's walking stick. Many on the market are 1950s+ models and you can also buy later versions but these are smaller in size. Royal Worcester also made days of the week mugs that were good new baby/christening gifts. My 3 children all had one of these for their christenings from my mother. As i live in Worcester we had good access to the factory and shop but sadly all that remains of this great name is the museum.
