Hello Peter, thank you for your suggestions...I checked the information you supplied and I found a Japanese Potter that had a very similar mark, AOKI MOKUBEI at the ARITA KILN from KYOTO JAPAN. The information said "revived KUTANI 17th Century" However I would have to dig further to see if this vase was really 17th century. Thanks for your help...Debbie
