HUTSCHENREUTER/POMPIDOUR-ROSENTHAL DINNER SET

by JEAN ST.CLAIR
(MONTANA,USA)

I AM VERY INTERESTED IN FINDING A PERSON THAT COULD VERIFY,OR NOT, THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS CHINA SET. IT IS A 9 PIECE PLACE SETTING,FOR 12, WITH SERVING PIECES SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN WHAT IS PRODUCED TODAY. I HAVE THE COMMISSION PIECES OF AN ASHTRAYS, CIGARETTE CASE, PLACE HOLDERS, DINNER PLATE, SOUP BOWL, COFFEE CUP/SAUCER AND TEA CUP/SAUCER BEFORE THE SET WAS GIVEN THE OK TO PRODUC, .NO 2 DINNER PLATES, BREAD PLATES, SALAD PLATES,ETC HAVE THE SAME DESIGN.

THE PHOTOS CAN BE SEEN AT http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1187911361#!/profile.php?id=1187911361&sk=photos

THE STORY I WAS TOLD, AS A CHILD "THE PATTERN WAS DESIGNED FOR A NEW BRIDE, OF A ROYAL OR NOBLE FAMILY, IN BAVARIA GERMANY. THE BLUE COLOR BELONGS TO THE FAMILY. ROSENTHAL POMPADOUR CIRCA 1930. PROBABLY HUTSCHENREUTER CHINA. WHEN WWII BROKE OUT THE FAMILY VALUABLES WERE CRATED AND BURIED NEAR A CHURCH. AFTER WWII,THE VALUABLES WERE UNEARTHED AND SOLD TO AMERICAN SOLDIERS AT VEILSECK, BAVARIA, GERMANY, IN 1949, NEAR THE CZECH BORDER. THAT IS HOW MY MOTHER BECAME THE NEW OWNER, WITH THE PROMISE TO SELL THE CHINA ONLY AS A COMPLETE SET." I INHERITED THE CHINA AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THE PROMISE, IF POSSIBLE, AS I AM INTERESTED IN SELLING.
