Hi, I was tickled to write down my experience here, but I'm not really sure whether it's cold porcelain or not, I made it by my self with several experiments and using my sense to reach what I want.

It's air dried and in some of my experiment it does crack but turn out pretty good now :)

Well, the only difference in my recipe is I've not cooked it at all, and it turn out pretty nice, so I'm little bit confused on why should it be cooked.

And I'll be delight to know the reason. Please let me know :)

And here is some of my creation in my handmade clay or cold porcelain?

Thanks..

Cheers,

XieMari

On the technical side of 'cooking', I think you are thinking of Fimo (polymer clay). Cold-porcelain is also know as 'air-dry clay'.

What do the experts say? Comments please.

Cracks can be minimalized

Sometimes cold porcelain also cracks; I really believe that what makes the difference is how well you work with the clay before you make your piece,(do not let air inside your clay) work out with it and make a nice ball without air; and that way you will avoid cracks.

This is called cold porcelain, but there is some recipes that you do not have to cook,(so your recipe may not be somehow wrong) but after a lot of studies the specialists developed the recipe that goes in the micro oven and most people uses this recipe today.

If you follow all the instruction given at this web you will get a good result.

Thank you Lucy :)
I keep on asking to people I know through browsing and I got the answer that it needs cook because it'll give harder result and I just figure out that the cooked paste give lighter result on my sculpt.
This is nice. But sometime I failed on cook my own paste, it become too hard to knead lol..

Have a great day.
