Pottery Mark Query - A under crossed upsidedown swords:- Hello, Is there anybody who can identify this statue and tell me a bit more about the mark.
Is it an older ALLERTON mark( pottery in the UK) or is it Asian.
Thanks

Koos

The forum Help Elf says:-

Allerton? I nearly choked on my lembas when I read that theory. No, not Allerton, this is modern Far East production. Taiwan, China, or post war occupied Japan. Mass produced. Not of value or collectible. Thanks for you submission, sorry to disappoint.

CHARLES ALLERTON & Sons : Longton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire 1859-1942, nice quality maker of earthenware and china, often featuring lustre decoration, etc. They have no recorded mark of this type and did not make this style of wares.
