Pottery mark query- azalia above crown above shield on flow blue

I bought this piece at a sale just this past weekend. I think it maybe a Foot Bath? It measures 20X14X5. I've searched in vain to identify the mark which has only the word "Azalia" that is legible. The lettering in the banner of the shield MAY start with J. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sue Carey

Pottery mark query- azalia above crown above shield on flow blue
Hi
I have a plate with this mark on also. We think the mark JKL is J Kent. I can see this written plainly on the back and in between the crown and shield I think the date is 1909. This plate belonged to my Great Grandmother and the date of 1909 would be about the correct date. I believe J Kent did earthenware products I maybe wrong.

Crown and Shield with initials J.K.L.
Hi Christine
Many thanks for tackling this one and coming up with such a great answer. Your time and trouble is very much appreciated.
I checked in my copy of Goddens UK marks and you are right in saying this mark is from c.1901 onwards. Other marks are shown from 1910, 1913, 1936, 1945, 1950 and 1955. I am not exactly sure when the 1901 mark shown was replaced.
There is a mention elsewhere on this site of James Kent's 1950's 'Old Foley' brand. Use the search engine in the right column to locate it.
