Pottery Mark Query - clover (no stem) inside circle:- I bought a pottery bowl with a short handle and a pouring lip. The bowl has a maker's mark of a clover (but no stem) inside a circle. The handle is hollowed out and appears to accommodate a wooden handle? The bowl is a beautiful heavy pottery and is obviously made on a wheel. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Nice pot. Thanks for sharing this Donna and welcome again.
The short answer is I don't know the answer to this query - but what I do know is I bet someone will come along who knows who this mark belongs to.
Just check the visitor comments section at the bottom of the page and see if I am right!....
Just some thoughts - probably wildly innacurate, but I have heard that McCoy Art Pottery had a clover mark in the 1930's, but I don't have any references for what it looked like - and can't find any photos online. McCoy is now very collectible, but I don't have a specialist book I'm afraid.
I would appreciate if anyone knowledgeable in this area could post a comment.
Best regards
