Pottery Mark Query - Crown above F with dot

Pottery Mark Query - Crown above F with dot:- Attached it a picture of the the mark I am trying to identyfy. It is on a set of porcelain coffee and tea cups with saucers that we have. These quite contemporary, rather than antiques, I believe the set was purchased new some 15 odd years ago.

Any help would be appreciated.

Paul

Small Pink Antique China vase with birds and gold trim marked with F

Hi Paul

I am so disappointed you did not post a photo of the wares. The house rule (written in bold above the online submission form) is that all posts without a photo of the mark AND the ware will not be published. I'll forgive you this time as you may have been in a rush and not understood this website is not a free identification service for individual submitters, but a free public record for all to benefit from when they Google their similar queries.. Got in now ? OK....

However, I have made an exception in this case because your have such a nice set of items by a top maker. Lucky you.

I am telling you this on condition you post a picture up of the actual set, so I can add it to this thread (or just email me the missing photo).

Your mark is that of the classy and world renowned maker Furstenberg of Brunswick, Germany. Very pricey, very top designs - and doing so since 1876. This mark has been used since 1922 and has been one of the standard marks ever since.

I would never try to guess at prices here in this forum, because I would be bound to get it wrong as I am not an expert. Peter (admin)

Pottery Mark Query - Crown above F with dot
by: Graham Page

Hi Paul:

My books shows a "crown over F without the dot" is a reproduction of Old Furstenberg Models which was the factory of Duke Carl 1 of Brunswick. My book doesn't show it with a dot to the bottom left of the F, but I am sure it is Furstenberg.

I don't know whether this is of any help to you or not. Maybe the dot depicts original.

3 on bottom right of F
by: Joe

Hi, I have a small flute vase with this mark.
(I am new at this so it's probably not a vase. Kind of a single stem vase, circular at bottom, rises to large hexagonal shape in middle and thin tapers up to a thin tube.) It is about 120mm high.
It has the same symbol, no dot but a tiny 3 to the right of the F.
Anyone have any idea what the 3 means. Is it a Furstenberg original or what date it may have been made.
Thanks,. Great site. I am goin got subscribe.
