Pottery Mark Query - Hand Written Crossed Swords on Plate With Gold and Grape Vines
Pottery Mark Query - Hand Written Crossed Swords on Plate With Gold and Grape Vines:- I got this years ago from my Grate Grandmother who lived in LA at the time. She passed away at the age of 105 in 1968. She was upper class before and even after the depression.

Hi William
Very interesting submission perfectly executed with great pictures.
You almost certainly have a rare and genuine Meissen plate which you need to get
appraised for value. Meissen is the best you can get and actually discovered the secret of true porcelain in 1710 (kept secret by the Chinese for ions).
It is interesting you mention the 'upper class' nature of your relative - because this provenance helps to indicate the plate is genuine Meissen rather than one of the many impersonators. Just a note from an Englishman to an American. I didn't think you had the 'class' system over there like we do here.
Hope this helps.
