Pottery Mark Query - Pressed duck with head turned over back:- I bought a black pottery vase, heavily glazed, hand thrown and hand painted. The mark on the bottom has been confirmed by Antiques Road Show personnel as a duck with the head turned back over the back. The vase has a beautiful bird on delicate branches with flowers.

There are initials (we think of the artist) on the vase just below and slightly to the right of the bird legs on the branch and they look like either GM (the g looks more like the "small" version but is large like the capital "M" or SM.

Have any of you come across anything or markings like this?

Thanks!!

On the bottom it also looks like a number 1537. And there may be letters below the duck head. In the Vase Bottom 2 picture it looks like the letters TRY may be the last 3 letters or maybe not. I can't tell for sure.
