Pottery Mark Query - Ramsey, England MINTON? on gravy boat:- I've been slowly unearthing artifacts from family's storage unit and finding some interesting pieces. This little piece has very faded mark and I'm looking for someone who might tell what company made it. There is a faint, faint area of the mark that may read Minton, but it also could be my mind playing tricks on me.
Any ideas??

Pottery Mark Query - Ramsey, England MINTON? on gravy boat
Hi Garric
Your mind is not deceiving you, this is the new standard Globe mark of Minton used c. 1912 - 50.
There is a crown on top and either side leaves/branches. Then in a band within the globe there is the word Minton. Under the globe - just visible on your photo are the words 'EST. 1793'. Under that is normally 'MADE IN ENGLAND', but on your example, there is an additional swag device with the word 'Ramsey' which is likely the pattern and under that is 'England'.
Minton wares always have a value, but I would never try to guess a price here in this forum, because it would be wrong to do so. However, I have seen Minton gravy boats on their own go at auction for a hammer price of between $30 and $125 USD. I suppose it's a question of if two people with the same service want that replacement gravy boat. Your is a very nice one though.
