Here is another question by one of our members at www.Marks4Antiques.com that we think is worth sharing and is the type of query we can really help to nail down:
Q. I acquired the creamer in the attached photo at an estate auction last week. The person who owned the peace lived in Minnesota. I have been able to identify the bottom stamp as that belonging to Richard Wolfram. I'm not able to find out much more about this company. Thanks!
A. Yes, this mark was used by the RICHARD WOLFRAM PORCELAIN FACTORY as noted, located in Wiesau, Bavaria, Germany. The company was established in 1898 and closed around 1970. They made mostly Household & Utilitarian Porcelain (Coffee/Tea Sets, Dinnerware, Serving pieces etc).
They are known to have used only this mark in some slight variations, so dating your piece can be based mostly on its style and the history you have on it. In our pinion, we believe it dates ca 1920s - 1930s.
Hope this helps,
John from www.Marks4Antiques.com
