Redcoat Soldier Royal Crown 2032
1st Pennsylvania 1775
Royal Crown hand painted 2032
Redcoat Soldier Royal Crown 2032:- My brother bought this at a local thrift shop in Pennsylvania for 50 cents just a few weeks ago. I have searched the internet but found nothing in relation to what foundry produced this figure.
The mark is "Royal Crown hand painted 2032". On the front of the statue, on the foot base, is written "1st Pennsylvania 1775." The statue is approximately 15 inches in height.
My niece used the webcam to take the photos, so to quality is not the best.
Thanks
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie
Many thanks for submitting, and hope you are finding the site useful. Interesting contribution for a few different reasons.
On first sight the markings on this figurine look very similar to the style of marking used on a Japanese Import company called Arnart (and associated companies). So I checked out a few other submissions on this website on this subject and found this one:-
Arnart Crown Mark and found that, sure enough Royal Crown is one of the marks experts are associating with Arnart.
I have never yet seen historic soldiers from them, so this is a first. I have seen Hummel look-alikes, German Kalk figurine reproductions, teas sets etc etc.
Apart from 'Royal Crown' ware and devices based on the Kalk arrow markings, other label attributed to Arnart creations are 'Royal Carlton' ware and 'ArMark'. Some say there must be some connection between Arnart and HOMCO also due to the similarity of product and markings. However, some reports say the company themselves were often quite reticent to give information to those who sought it.
There several companies who specialise in importing antique reproductions and one of them is A A Importing:
AA Importing CO
7700 Hall Street
Saint Louis, MO 63147
(314)383-8800
Importers
I have no idea whether there is any connection between ArnArt and reproduction importers AA Importing Co, but would like to know. It may be the similarity of product line and the letter A initials are a complete co-incidence. Also Arnart were New York based and AA Importing based in Saint Louis.
Maybe someone based in the US could give them a ring on the above number and do some sleuthing.
Best regards
