Takito Salt & Pepper Set
by: Blake

Dear Cheryl, Your Salt & Pepper set was made by Takito porcelain. They have been in business since 1880 and Kovels' Book of Marks dates the mark on your set as circa 1948.
Try doing a Google search for Takito Porcelain and you'll get a ton of hits for all types of porcelain wares made by the company.

Yours, Blake

1948 was a year for "Made in Occupied Japan" marks
by: Diann

In reference to the prior comment, the mark says "Made in Japan". If the set was made in 1948, as suggested by the respondent, I think that it would have been marked "Made in Occupied Japan".
