fig 1 - unknown pottery marks on figures - O T with Waves (blue)
unknown pottery marks on figures - O T with Waves (blue):- I moved in to my present house about 10 years ago but its only this last month or so ive had real reason to go in the loft. Because i was having the roof done i decided to replace my loft insulation. I had been up there before but never really looked around. Anyway i came across a dusty box tucked away in the corner, which when i opened it had quite a few things wrapped up in it.
After fetching it down and opening the wrappings imagine my surprise to find quite a lot of pottery figures etc. Actually in the box were 30 wade whimsies, some in mint condition some slightly damaged, a beswick peter rabbit which i have found has a gold oval backstamp, a beswick mrs tittlemouse, a beswick tom kitten and a beswick bullfinch.
Imagine my surprise to also find a hummel figure named the little helper, 3 dresden ladies with lace dresses which unfortunately were badly damaged along with some other figures. Of these 2 have no markings whatsoever and look to be run of the mill pottery figures both of which are models of little girls.
There was a very nice looking figure of a young boy with a lamb, which through this site i managed to find the the mark which shows it to be a marks and ronsfeld figure from around the 1950's.
the 3 figures i am having trouble identifying are 1 of a little man/boy in blue coat/ red breeches (which does have a gold anchor mark on the back, the only reference of which i can find is that it is possibly chelsea or a copy) and an indistinguishable gold mark on the base.
