Vase Germany Pottery Mark - Royal Crown Stylized 'M' Crest with Roth
Mark on bottom is very faded. First line says "royal" and sits over what appears to be a crown. There is a large stylized M within the crest and below that what appears to be the year - 1900??
Under the crest it says Roth and below that, Germany.
There is a 1 stamped in the glaze, and the number 1437.
The vase is a beautiful cream and pale dusty rose ceramic with hand painted flowers and gold trim.
Any thoughts on the origins of this vase?
Regards
Sandra

Hi Sandra
Thanks for your submission. A CLOSE UP of the mark (best use your camera on ‘macro’) as well as one of the wares please (see the
phoro-merge page).
There is a little known German company called MORGENROTH & Co, 1890 - c1920. This may be a mark of theirs. This company may have been associated with a brand called Gotha which was owned by Schwab & Co. Another Roth mark was that of Düssel, Roth & Co 1923 to 1945. Again, little is known about this maker, but there is no association with the year 1900.
Hope this helps your research.
