Hi Kimberley

Many thanks for your photos - this will be of great help to all our visitors.

Your mark specifically dates from 1953 or after.

Wade are a collectible maker - especially with their range "Wade Whimsies" a miniature collection of figurines originally made as "pocket friends" for children.

Founded in 1810 by Henry Hallam in Staffordshire and originally produced ceramic industrial fittings. Taken over and called Wade & Colclough in 1867, John Wade went on his own in 1887 and called his company Wade & Co.

By the the 1940's other Wade family members (3 nephews of the original founder) had founded other Wade potteries. Yet another factory was started in the in Ireland in the 1950's. These were re-united in the 1950's by Sir George Wade.

In 1998 Wade potteries were taken over by Beauford Plc renamed Wade Ceramics Ltd only to become Wade Allied Holdings Ltd in 1999. In 1990s the Irish factory was re-formed as Seagoe Ceramics.

For general advice on how to either price up your collection or find replacements for it, I wrote this page: The Searching Secrets To Finding Your China Replacement Online ….more.

Hope this helps.
