Hi Rachel
To get the best replies, I urge submitters to upload clear photos, one image of the mark (as close up as possible without being blurry) and one of the item. These are required, both for the most fruitful answers and to act as a public record for everyone to benefit from.
However, in this case, I recently found this mark attributed to a Japanese maker called "Sadek". Apparently this mark was an attempt to impersonate a 19th century mark of Sitzendorf, Germany under the 'Gebrüder Voigt' era...
see
www.porcelainmarksandmore.com (this link goes to their home page which seems to be asking for donations - but you can still go to their search page and use mist of the site. Put in the search term "Sadek").
There seems to be a lot of nice looking wares around by Andrea of Sadek on
ebay (click on this link, and on the page that comes up near the top there is a convenient and fast link which takes you straight to a deep level ebay search page) and elsewhere.
There is no way of really telling if the mark is from the Far East mass producer of the more valuable German maker without seeing the ware photo.
That's why we need both pics.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
