I bought this plate a vide grenier in SW France.

It appears to be very old and has quite a bit of damage to the edges. I buy and sell ceramics I buy in France but try and research their origin on line and in books before I put them up for sale.

My account on eBay is ivory1958.

This one has stumped me. It is a rectangle shaped bowl with irregular edges in blue, green, yellow and brown. There are painted flowers, leaves and a bee motif.

There is a mark of a T over a V on the side of the base.

It is 24cm across and 8cm deep.

Please help me identity it.

I visit vide greniers and brocantes in SW France to find interesting items. I came across this bowl which appears to be very old and has a very unusual design with a bee motif. I have bought several other ceramics and want to start selling on line but at this stage I am just researching items, intetested in their history.

Hi CLaire

Thanks for your photos.

I can't get any joy on a VT or VT mark at all.

Anyone else? . . .

Best regards

Peter
