An artist from the UK, I am painting a series of beauty spots in Waiheke, New Zealand - where my daughter now lives. More about Onetangi in Bloom and why I featured it.

Onetangi Brach in Bloom continued . . .
There is a place in the world where Christmas red is not celebrated by Rudolph's nose, or Santa's hat, but a tree that decorates the December summer beaches with crimson broadcasts on twisted stems. That's my daughter Olivia's local beach where she goes for her evening strolls and morning jogs, and weekend paddle boarding.
But not only that...
I heard that Waiheken people call this red-blooming, beach loving tree their 'xmas tree' as it heralds in their hot Christmas season.
Anyone for paddle boarding after turkey roast?
One day I'll escape the English winter to have a go myself.
