Oskar Schindler Teapot?

Oskar Schindler Teapot?

Hello,

I am writing to see if possibly you might have any information on this teapot? I purchased it off Etsy with the understanding that it was made in the 1940's and came from Oskar Schindler's enamelware factory in Poland.

I researched this item before purchasing and found very few other teapots with the exact marking. The Jewish Resource Center in Las Vegas claims to have one with the same marking that was donated to them by the daughter of a holocaust survivor. The teapot is marked Made In Poland 12. The marking is a teapot/kettle with an S in the center. I have tried searching Oskar Schindler's enamelware factory in terms of what was specifically made but to no avail.

At any rate, I am enclosing 4 images that have been cropped into 1. I hope this is clear enough to view and see.

Thank you for your time. I certainly appreciate any information that you might be able to shed on this teapot.

Sincerely,

Joseph

Dear Joseph

I don't have any personal knowledge on this very interesting subject, but I am posting up this query in the hope that some other more knowledgeable people might come forward.

I did look around and found some marks on various items said to be from the same factory.

If anyone can fill us in with more knowledge, that would be great.

It looks like a Schindler to me. How much did you pay for it? if you don't mind me asking?

Hi!
Have two small enamel cooking pots. The marks match the top mark out of the three markings you posted. Where did you get the information that the top mark is from the Schindler factory? I don't get a 1940's feel from my pots. More 60's

There's also this similar mark on a teapot said to be from the 60's:

Wasn't Schindlers factory called Emalia? The emalia mark isn't like a teapot at all?

Coffee Pot
by: Anonymous

I just bought a coffee pot at the Long Beach Antique Market for $20 that has the same mark as one of these. A teapot with an S in the middle and a spread out V underneath. It says "Made in Poland" with a 12 underneath. Didn't notice it when I bought it, but my husband pointed it out after it was home.

Mum's plate NEW

I have an enamel plate that belonged to my mother. It has the same mark as the teapot as above but the number under is 26. I've often thought that it could have come from the Schindler factory. Can it be dated by the 26 on the mark?

Schindler info NEW

Hello,
I own a Schindler Collander in yellow 10 that I had assessed by a curator at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. If yours says "made in Poland" it is post war allied product. The items made during the war were poor alloy and did not last well.
Mine was purchased at an Army PX.

Hello!

I have seen in my research that the teapot originally pictured may be Huta Silesia Enamel. See https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1007280804/vintage-enamel-huta-silesia-coffee-pot?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=huta+silesia&ref=sr_gallery-1-1
